Updates 19 March

NCPF Competition

We have received the invitation for the club to participate in the NCPF Annuals Comp 2024 – as mentioned at recent meetings.

This is an open (ie unthemed) competition and is to be held in April across three main categories of entries:

1 – Colour Print

2 – Monochrome Print

3 – Projected Digital Image

There are also Beginners sections for both prints and pdi’s – although the NCPF of a beginner is somewhat loose!!

There will be a club entry of six (6) images per category, but anything received that is not selected by the club for its entry will still be entered as an individual entry

We are  therefore asking any member who wishes to participate in this competition to submit their prospective images according to the following brief rules and limits:

        – Three images per category per person

        – All prints to be mounted on 50 x 40 cm mount board

        – All print images to be accompanied by a digital version. Non compliance with this rule will result in the image not being entered

        – Digital images are to be no larger than 1600px wide and no larger than 1200 px high and should be in sRGB colour space (although this can be checked and changed before submission to the federation)

        – All images submitted must be entirely the authors own work, including all elements and layers of composites

        – It would be useful to know if anyone who enters has recognised awards for their photography (ie LRPS, CPAGB etc)

Closing date for submissions to this competition must be the 27th March at the absolute latest to allow selection and submission to the NCPF by their cutoff date of 4th April

Please send any images or queries to Darren.
